About AI-DedICate

Human-Centric Artificial Intelligence for Inclusive Education

AI-DedICate supports schools, teachers and learners in using Artificial Intelligence responsibly, ethically and creatively to enhance education.

🎯 Project Aims

  • Develop an Integrated Pedagogical and Technological Framework for the use of Human-Centric AI in school education, with a strong ethical foundation.
  • Enhance AI literacy and digital competence among in-service teachers, pre-service teachers and pupils.
  • Promote the use of AI, educational technologies and gamification as learning tools, not only as entertainment.
  • Foster intercultural understanding and acceptance of diversity through transnational school projects and online collaboration.
  • Support teachers and schools in navigating digital transformation, strengthening digital readiness, resilience and capacity.

🤖 Why It Matters

  • Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming teaching and learning, creating both opportunities and significant challenges.
  • Ethical concerns related to data protection, transparency, accountability and algorithmic bias are increasing.
  • Persistent digital inequalities limit equitable access to AI-based educational tools.
  • Many pupils still perceive AI and gamification mainly as entertainment rather than meaningful learning tools.

Background

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence in education is transforming teaching and learning. While AI can support innovation, personalisation and creativity, it also raises important questions about ethics, inclusion and readiness.

39%
Only 39% of teachers in the EU feel adequately prepared to integrate advanced digital tools such as AI into their teaching practice.

AI-DedICate responds to these challenges by developing an Integrated Pedagogical and Technological Framework on Human-Centric Artificial Intelligence, aligned with European policies such as the Digital Education Action Plan, the AI Act, and the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI.

The project promotes inclusive, competence-based and collaborative education, ensuring that AI is used responsibly to enhance learning outcomes and support diverse learners.

Our Vision

To empower educators and learners to use AI not simply as a technology, but as a responsible, ethical and inclusive tool for better education, collaboration and intercultural understanding.
